Medic One Foundation is building a network of locally led EMS foundations across Washington — each focused on strengthening the emergency medical services system in its own community.

Affiliates bring together EMS leaders, community partners and local supporters to identify priorities, build philanthropic support and invest in their local system. At the same time, they are part of a connected network that shares ideas, resources and best practices to strengthen EMS across Washington.

Why this model?

Communities across Washington face growing pressures on their EMS systems — from workforce and training needs to equipment, technology and increasing demand.

The EMS Affiliate Network helps communities build sustainable philanthropic support to address locally identified priorities while connecting them to a broader network of EMS leaders and resources.

Local Affiliates set their own priorities, build community relationships, raise and steward local funds, increase awareness of EMS and direct resources toward local needs.

Every community is different. Geography, workforce needs, resources and local priorities vary across Washington, and there is no one-size-fits-all approach.

What Affiliates share is a commitment to strong EMS systems, local leadership, collaboration and continuous improvement.

By connecting communities through a broader Network, Affiliates can learn from one another, share resources and experience, identify common challenges and help strengthen EMS beyond their own borders.
