Become a PulsePoint Citizen Responder

According to the American Heart Association, more than 350,000 cardiac arrests occur outside of a hospital each year in the United States. Effective citizen CPR and a shock from an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), provided immediately, can double or triple the chance of survival. Now, thanks to the support of Medic One Foundation donors, PulsePoint Respond, as well as PulsePoint AED, are available throughout King and Snohomish County.

PulsePoint Respond

Sudden cardiac arrest can happen to anyone, at any time. But, PulsePoint Respond, a free mobile app, empowers communities to help improve patient outcomes and save lives by alerting citizens when a cardiac arrest is occurring nearby so that they can begin CPR before first responders arrive. This lifesaving app also helps locate AEDs, provides instruction on how to perform CPR, and allows users to follow their local fire/EMS agency to receive notifications of significant events, such as wildland fires and flooding.

PulsePoint AED

PulsePoint AED is a simple yet sophisticated tool to document and share AED location information in your community—or anywhere! When a cardiac emergency strikes, finding an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) can help save a life. But, that takes knowing where AEDs are located. Download this app to help build our region’s AED registry so that AEDs are easily accessible to emergency responders, including nearby citizens trained in CPR and off-duty professionals such as firefighters, paramedics, and nurses.
