Celebrating 25 Years of Life Support—and a New Partnership for the Future
Earlier this month, we had the privilege of joining community members, first responders, and longtime supporters in Cle Elum to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Life Support, a remarkable grassroots nonprofit that has been a lifeline for emergency services in upper Kittitas County.
The evening marked more than just a milestone—it marked the beginning of a new chapter. Together, we announced that Life Support and the Medic One Foundation are entering into a strategic partnership, with the goal of bringing two mission-driven organizations together to strengthen and expand lifesaving care along the I-90 corridor and beyond.
“We’re proud to partner with an organization as deeply respected as Life Support,” said Craig Peterson, Board President of the Medic One Foundation. “This merger allows us to honor their 25-year legacy while expanding our shared commitment to lifesaving care along the I-90 corridor and beyond. Together, we’re ensuring that no matter where you live, help will be there when you need it most.”
While the process is just beginning, this collaboration reflects a shared belief in strong local support and ensuring advanced emergency response in all communities—urban and rural alike.
As part of the celebration, we were proud to present a $63,000 donation toward the purchase of a hydraulic vehicle extraction tool for Life Support and upper Kittitas County. This critical equipment provides firefighters and paramedics with the power needed to cut through metal quickly and safely, helping to free trapped individuals as efficiently as possible.
In addition, we were honored to serve as a $10,000 sponsor of the 25th anniversary event—bringing our total contribution that evening to $73,000 in support of lifesaving care in the region.
We look forward to working closely with the Life Support team in the months ahead to ensure that their mission and legacy continue to thrive—now backed by the broader resources and experience of the Medic One Foundation.
