Medic One Foundation Welcomes Steven Schellings to the Board of Directors

The Medic One Foundation is proud to welcome Steven Schellings to our Board of Directors. With over 30 years of experience in healthcare policy and the commercialization of innovative medicines, Steven brings a wealth of knowledge to our organization as we continue our mission to support world-class paramedic training, life-saving research, and community outreach programs.

Steven’s connection to Medic One is deeply personal. In 2019, his second son, Ryker, suffered a left-side penetrating traumatic brain injury in a skateboarding accident in Seattle. Thanks to the swift, expert response of Medic One paramedics, Ryker survived. This life-changing event made Steven an unexpected expert and passionate advocate for traumatic brain injury awareness, as well as a strong supporter of advanced life support and Medic One’s mission.

As a healthcare industry insider and policy expert, Steven is committed to ensuring that first responders receive the highest level of training and that our paramedics are equipped with the best tools, resources, and education to save lives every day.

Steven is a graduate of Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, and the Evans School of Public Policy and Governance at the University of Washington. In addition to his new role on the Medic One Foundation Board, he serves on the Brain Injury Alliance of Washington and is actively involved in various community and nonprofit initiatives.

We are honored to have Steven’s expertise, passion, and leadership as we continue our work to support the lifesaving efforts of Medic One paramedics.
