Kickoff to Paramedic Training Class 51 Fundraising: A Night to Remember!

Earlier this month, we launched our fundraising campaign for Medic One Paramedic Training Class 51 with a wonderful event hosted by Brooks and Kathy Simpson at their beautiful home. The evening marked the beginning of our campaign to raise $1.5 million to train 30 new paramedics and provide continuing education for 260 current paramedics across our region.

It was truly a special night! With perfect weather, delicious food, and the backdrop of an inspiring mission, more than 60 guests came together to support the campaign. We’re incredibly thankful to the Bellevue Fire Department and Eastside Fire and Rescue for their live demonstrations, showcasing the lifesaving skills these paramedics use every day. Senior Paramedic Will Dunne gave powerful remarks, and Doug Thomas moved everyone with his story of survival, reminding us why this cause is so critical.

Thanks to the generosity of Brooks and Kathy Simpson and their leadership, combined with the donations from those in attendance, we raised over $25,000—enough to fully fund the training of one paramedic student. This is just the beginning, and we’re excited to continue working towards our $1.5 million goal.

If you would like to support the Paramedic Training Class 51 and help us train the next generation of lifesaving professionals, you can do so by donating here.

Together, we can ensure that Medic One continues its legacy of excellence and lifesaving care for our community.
