Eighteen paramedics from communities throughout our region just enrolled in the Medic One Paramedic Training Program. They’ve come to our training program because our region’s Medic One system is recognized internationally as the gold standard for pre-hospital emergency care.
The Medic One Paramedic Training program is not supported by the Medic One Tax Levy. It has always been supported by charitable contributions since the early 1970’s. Community support allows us to demand more of our students than other paramedic training program. Your gift will save lives by providing the best paramedic training from the most competent sources.
What this means for you is a 46% chance of surviving a witnessed, shockable sudden cardiac arrest—compared to survival rates of less than 10% in major cities like New York, Chicago, Detroit, and Los Angeles. And sudden cardiac arrest doesn’t just strike older adults. It strikes teenagers, young athletes, and adults of all ages.
