2012 “Spirit of Team Play” Award Recipient

2012 Spirit of Team Play Award Recipient, John Nankervis, with Mariner Moose and Joe Ridge from Philips Healthcare.

 

Shoreline Medic One paramedic, John Nankervis, received the Foundation’s 2012 “Spirit of Team Play” Award.  He threw out the first pitch at the Seattle Mariners game on Wednesday, September 19 as he was honored for his continued commitment and exemplary service to the community.   We salute John for his service and congratulate him on this well-deserved recognition!

The Medic One Foundation is seeking nominations for the 2013 “Spirit of Team Play” Award.  The award recipient will be honored in the fall of 2013.

To be eligible, paramedics must be graduates of the UW/Harborview Paramedic Training Program.  The award is given each year to a Medic One paramedic who best models the personal behavior consistent with the expectations of the public and the profession:

  • Integrity
  • Teamwork
  • Compassion and empathy
  • Motivation and commitment
  • Diplomacy and tact
  • Confidence
  • Communication
  • Open-mindedness
  • Conscientiousness

Nominations will be accepted until Friday, June 28, 2013.
