Bellevue paramedic Phil Pierson and 9-year-old Lily James
Congratulations, Phil Pierson!
2011 “Spirit of Team Play” Award Recipient
Bellevue paramedic, Phil Pierson, is the recipient of the Foundation’s 2011 “Spirit of Team Play” award, which honors a paramedic in our region each year who best models compassion, dedication, enthusiasm, professionalism, and service to the community. Phil will receive the award during the September 14 Mariners game, and will throw out the sponsored first pitch of the game. Joining Phil for a heart-warming reunion will be 9-year-old Lily James, who suffered a life-threatening injury in a boating accident two years ago. Phil was one of the paramedics who responded to Lily’s 9-1-1 call. We salute Phil for his service and congratulate him on this well-deserved recognition!
As part of the celebration, a special discounted group seating section has been reserved for the community. Tickets are available to purchase online at Mariners.com/MedicOneFoundation. Receive a FREE Mariners’ Medic One Foundation Night t-shirt at the game when you purchase tickets through this offer! Come join us as we cheer on Phil, enjoy some Major League Baseball action, and root for the Mariners as they take on the New York Yankees!
